What manufacturing can VMEP do in-house?
CNC routing, fibre laser marking, CNC milling and turning, 3D printing, and MIG and TIG welding and fabrication, plus 2D and 3D CAD design. All of it runs at our own workshop in Bidford-on-Avon, Warwickshire, on the same machines we use to build our flight cases and pit equipment.
Can I use the workshop if I am not buying a flight case?
Yes. The workshop capabilities are available for your project as standalone work. You do not need to be buying anything else from us.
Do you take work that is not motorsport?
Yes. We have taken on projects ranging from vehicle-related design to bespoke back packs, and we are not restricted to motorsport work.
What file formats do you accept?
STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG, STL and PDF. Hand sketches and photographs are fine as a starting point too. If you have no files at all we can produce the CAD from a measured part, a sketch or photos.
Where is the workshop?
Unit 20, Bidavon Industrial Estate, Bidford-on-Avon, Alcester, B50 4JN. Everything is manufactured on site rather than factored out.
