Brake Kit Conversions & Upgrades
With a background in brake system design we can offer brake kit conversions and upgrades.
To correctly specify a brake system you need to consider all aspects:
- Brake line diameter
- Pedal ratio
- Disc diameter
- Caliper piston size and number of pistons
- Master cylinder bore size
- Pad area
- Weight distribution
We can calculate the ideal set up based on fixed parameters, specify the complete system or advise on changes based on only replacing a front kit for example.
Taking an existing upright or suspension leg we can then measure, design and manufacture aluminium mounting bells and brackets to suit your vehicle along with supplying AP Racing brake calipers, discs and brake pads.
We are also distributors for Tilton's range of pedal boxes, master cylinders and fluid reservoirs to complete the braking system.

What materials can you machine?
Aluminium, steel, brass and engineering plastics. Typical work is brackets, mounts, spacers and low-volume motorsport components.
Do you take one-off jobs or only production runs?
Both. We quote larger runs and small one-off projects, including single prototype parts.
What files do you need for a machining job?
We work with a range of formats including PDF, STEP and STL files, and we can also work from hand sketches. If you have no drawing at all we can produce the design and drawing work for you.
Can you design and build a brake kit conversion?
Yes. We offer brake kit conversions and upgrades, drawing on a background in brake system design. Specifying a system correctly means considering brake line diameter, pedal ratio, disc diameter, caliper piston size and number of pistons, master cylinder bore size, pad area and weight distribution together, rather than changing one part in isolation.
Can I upgrade only the front brakes?
Yes. We can calculate the ideal set-up from your fixed parameters and either specify the complete system or advise on the effect of replacing a front kit only.
What brake components do you supply?
We machine aluminium mounting bells and brackets to suit your upright or suspension leg, and supply AP Racing brake calipers, discs and pads. We are also distributors for Tilton pedal boxes, master cylinders and fluid reservoirs to complete the system.
