What 3D printer do you use?
A Stratasys F170 FDM machine, run in-house at our Bidford workshop alongside our CNC and fabrication equipment.
What is the maximum size you can 3D print?
The build envelope is 254 x 254 x 254mm. Parts larger than that can often be split and printed in sections, or produced by CNC machining instead. We will tell you which route makes more sense for your part.
What materials can you print in?
ABS-M30 and ASA, with a range of colour options. Tell us what the part has to do and we will advise which is the better fit.
What file formats do you need?
STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG, STL and PDF are all fine. If you do not have a model, we can create the CAD for you from a sketch, photos or a sample part.
Can you design the part as well as print it?
Yes. We can produce the CAD model first and then print it, or take an existing model and refine it for printing.
What do people use your 3D printing for?
Functional prototypes, fit-test models, fixtures, brackets and one-off parts. We use the same machine on our own products before committing a design to metal or board.
How do I get a 3D printing quote?
