For a small or single-car garage, the system that works is a modular foam-cored panel kit sized to the bay you actually have, with rear shelving, tool box areas and TV mounts built into the panels rather than bolted on afterwards. Our Kit A covers a garage area of approximately 5.5 x 4m at £9,895 ex VAT, supplied with rear shelving, two tool box areas, four TVs installed, and a flight case to move it in. If your bay is smaller than that, or you want a branded working front without a full enclosure, a pit walling desk at £1,650 ex VAT is the sensible starting point. What decides it for a small setup is your real garage footprint, whether you need TV and shelving integration, and whether the kit has to travel between circuits or stay put.
What size pit walling do I need for a small garage?
Measure the bay, not the car. Kit A is built around a garage area of approximately 5.5 x 4m, which covers a typical single-car club garage with room to work down both sides. Kit B covers two garage areas at approximately 6 x 9m.
The panels are modular, so a bay that is narrower, deeper or an awkward shape is a custom layout rather than a compromise. Send the dimensions and we will lay it out to fit.
How much does pit walling cost for a small garage?
| Option | Covers | Price ex VAT |
|---|---|---|
| Pit walling style desk | Working front only, 1440L x 650D x 1200H mm | £1,650 |
| Kit A, single car garage | Approximately 5.5 x 4m | £9,895 |
| Kit B, double car garage | Approximately 6 x 9m | £16,495 |
Custom layouts are quoted per job. Flight cases are included in the kit prices above, so what you order is a complete usable kit rather than panels plus a transport problem.
What is included in each kit?
Kit A: single car garage
Panelling for one garage area of approximately 5.5 x 4m, rear shelving, two tool box areas and four TVs installed. Includes a flight case for transportation.
Kit B: double car garage
Panelling for two garage areas of approximately 6 x 9m, rear shelving each side, two tool box areas, four TVs installed on the side walling, and a centre console with a further two TVs. Includes two flight cases for transportation.
Pit walling desks
Available at our dimensions or custom made to order. Produced from 20mm boarding, quarter turn latched together with radius extrusion at the corners and an open front compartment. External dimensions 1440L x 650D x 1200H mm. There are wiring pass-through points in the top shelf and the rear of the desk, and the external facing edges carry stainless steel. Each desk is supplied in a foam routed, partitioned flight case.
Can I start smaller than a full walling kit?
Yes. A pit walling desk at £1,650 ex VAT gives you the branded working front and the cable management without enclosing the bay. It is the usual starting point for a one-car club operation, and it travels in its own foam routed case.
Panels can be added later. The system is modular by design, so a desk now does not rule out a full enclosure next season.
How are the panels built?
Each panel is a lightweight foam cored panel with a frame manufactured into the perimeter to seal all edges. Panels attach via quarter turn fasteners from the rear, and levelling feet are supplied for each panel.
Two things follow from that in a real garage. A single panel can be removed or replaced without dismantling the run, and the levelling feet let the wall stand straight on a garage floor that is not.
We can incorporate shelving for helmets, lighting, TV screens, overhead gantries and anything else required.
How does the kit travel between circuits?
All walling kits are supplied in purpose built flight cases, with divisions to protect each board and separate storage for the corner extrusion and levelling feet. The flight cases are included in the kit price.
What should I work out before ordering?
- Garage bay dimensions, width and depth, measured at the narrowest point
- Whether the kit stays in one garage or travels between circuits
- How many TV screens, and where they need to sit
- Whether you need helmet shelving, tool box areas or an overhead gantry
- Whether vinyl graphics should be applied before delivery
- Ceiling height and any obstructions such as roller shutter tracks or lighting
- Power access, so cable runs and pass-through points can be positioned
Send those with a sketch if you have one and we can quote a layout rather than a guess.
Can I get a custom layout for an awkward garage?
Yes. We design and manufacture seamless pit and exhibition walling systems, and complete custom design is a standard option, including vinyl graphics applied prior to delivery. For a bespoke layout, send your garage layout area, helmet shelving, TV installations and flooring requirements, plus a sketch if you have one. Get in touch with the details and we will come back with a lead time and price.
